Easier Way to Get Fit and Stay SlimHave you tried going to the gym and lifting weights? Seems like a lot of work to me. Yes, if you are a young person just wanting to gain muscle and build your body so that people will look at you and know that you have been working out, then that will work. But, what if you are an older person, and when you go to the gym or the YMCA you hurt for days, not so good.

OK, so what do us older folks do to lose a few pounds and feel better. Are you stumped yet? Let me make a few suggestions. Changing you diet will definitely help, but not all of us want to starve ourselves. Many people will take meat and fatty foods off their diet and eat mainly veggies. Good plan but most of us will soon revert back to our old diet and gain it all back.

Let me ask you this. Do you like to play outside games? How about horse shoes of corn hole, or just shooting a basketball. Maybe you enjoy throwing a baseball to a child in the neighborhood or riding a bicycle. Maybe just a walk around the neighborhood. This is all exercise and will help you towards your goal. Let me explain.

Pick the activities you like and feel comfortable with and make a plan. Lets say you like to play corn hole, shooting a basketball, and maybe walking. the first day, play corn hole for a half hour, take a rest break, and go for a short walk. Next day, pitch corn hole for a little longer, say forty five minutes and take you break and walk a little further. Then maybe next day, throw a few baskets and the walk. What matters is that you make a regular routine and follow it every day. again, try to throw a vegetable into your diet.

The big thing here is do an activity that you enjoy, and do this every day. If you happen to miss a day, don't worry, just pick it up the next day and enjoy what you are doing. Soon, you are going to notice you feel better, if you are a diabetic you should notice a reduction in your meter readings. If you have high blood pressure, you should see a reduction there also. The idea here is to enjoy whatever exercise you are doing, and do it.
